The Cleveland Bail Fund was founded in 2020 by organizers who wanted to bring the best from bailout efforts around the country to transform the fabric of criminal justice in Cuyahoga. This hub exists to connect community members to vital sources of support during times of interaction with the criminal justice system.
Our community is supported by a network of key organizations which provide housing, health services, nutrition, etc.
When work with their clients gets upended by a marauding criminal justice system, we step in to help.
We are a part of a deep tradition of organizing in this country which settles for nothing less than equal application of the law for all people, and the dismantling of all forms of detention and criminalization.
In advancing this mission, we focus on getting people out of jail and safely back into the community, especially following sweeping or highly politicized arrests.
This site and others linked are part of ongoing efforts to bring more diverse voices into the discussion of US criminal justice.
Follow our favorite organizers and check back in frequently to keep up to date on the latest updates regarding local events, political developments, relevant reports, etc.
